Window Cleaning Questions, Answered
Straightforward answers to the questions Maidstone customers commonly ask about our window cleaning, access, pure-water system, service area and quoting process.
What is pure water window cleaning?
It uses water that has been filtered and deionised to remove dissolved solids. The water-fed brush loosens dirt from the glass, frames and accessible sills, then the area is rinsed with purified water and left to dry naturally.
Do you need my outside tap or electricity?
Normally no. We carry purified water for the window-cleaning system. We do need suitable physical access to the windows that are being cleaned.
Do I have to be at home?
Usually not. If gates are unlocked and we can safely access the required sides of the property, the exterior work can normally be completed while you are out.
Why are the windows wet when you leave?
That is normal with pure-water cleaning. The final purified-water rinse is left to dry naturally rather than being removed with a squeegee.
How often should windows be cleaned?
Four- and eight-weekly frequencies are common on our rounds, but the right interval depends on the property, exposure, surrounding trees and how clean you want the windows kept.
Can you clean high windows without ladders?
Our water-fed pole system can reach up to 45 feet from the ground where conditions allow. The actual safe working reach still depends on the building, working position and obstacles around the property.
Which areas do you cover?
The website is focused on Maidstone. Our current service-area list includes Maidstone, Bearsted, Allington, Barming, Boxley, Coxheath, Detling, Harrietsham, Headcorn, Hollingbourne, Larkfield, Aylesford, Leeds, Loose, Marden, Otham, Penenden Heath, Sutton Valence, Tovil, Weavering and Yalding.
Why upload property photos?
Photos help us see the number and type of windows, extensions, conservatories, height and possible access issues, so the initial quote can reflect the actual property more accurately.
What happens to the photos I upload?
They are used to deal with your quote or service request. We do not publish customer property photos on the website or in marketing without separate permission.
Do you clean frames and sills?
On a standard exterior window clean, the frames and accessible exterior sills are cleaned along with the glass. Heavy restoration-style uPVC cleaning is a separate service.
Can you remove paint, cement or hard-water marks?
Those are specialist contaminants rather than normal maintenance dirt. Some may require separate treatment and some damage or staining may not be safely removable. Send clear photos so we can assess it.
How do we pay you?
We accept payment by bank transfer (Bacs), Direct Debit or cash. After each clean, we’ll send your invoice and payment details by text or email.
Are you insured?
Yes. WindowsCleaned4U is fully covered by public liability insurance and can provide evidence on request.
